How should Skeptics deal with controversy?

Recent events, both in our group and in the wider Skeptics community, such as the recent fall out over TAM (The Amazing Meeting), have provided a banquet of food for thought. In this open debate, we'll be discussing them. Everyone will be welcome to stand up and add their opinion on any of the issues raised recently.

Does freedom of speech mean that *any* topic can be discussed? Should speakers always be "pro-skeptics" or can SitPs also invited people with unscientific opinions which they then will have to defend? How should the Skeptical community deal with controversy?
